Kvitka Tsysyk
April 2023 marks the 70th anniversary of the legendary singer her birth (1953-1998). The singer was born in 1953 in New York in a Galician family that, at the end of the Second World War, along with thousands of other refugees, fled from the occupation and the Soviet government. Kvitka "Kasey" Cisyk was an American coloratura soprano of Ukrainian ethnicity. Cisyk, a classically trained opera singer, achieved success in four musical genres: popular music, classical opera, Ukrainian folk music and commercial jingles for radio and TV advertisements. |
